Zach made the decision to join the family business and became Vice President of Boren Brothers Waste Services in the Winter of 2015. Zach’s main focus as Vice President was to scale the company, work diligently on new business development, and also oversee daily operations to ensure the standard of customer service was continually being met. When Mike Boren, Zach’s father, retired in 2019, Zach was promoted to President of Boren Brothers Waste Services. To this day, Zach still has a passion for growing the business and is hands on with business development while also overseeing all divisions of the company.
Prior to joining Boren Brothers Waste Services, Zach attended and graduated from The Ohio State University where he was a member of The Ohio State Buckeyes football team. As a four year starter and being recognized in 2012 with the College Football Kirk Herbstreit “Mr. Versatility” award as well as receiving the Big Ten Conference Sportsmanship award, his greatest honor was being team captain of the undefeated 2012 Ohio State Buckeyes. Zach is married and presently has one young child.
